Reductive
Handwoven scroll triptych in monofilament and paper. This construction of three hanging screens has, written into it, a found administrative text in an extinct Egyptian script. The letters are etched out of the material using a cellulose-eating acid - an unpredictable and uncontrollable process which leaves the letters malformed, the text unstable, and the fabric partially destroyed.
